The Share the Music Foundation started in 2022 to put the Capital City on the map as a destination for internationally renowned artists by bringing them to the Lansing area for intimate and inspiring outdoor concerts.

We founded the Backyard Bash Summer Concert Series in 2022, with all profits supporting community charities. Over the past two seasons, we’ve raised more than $25,000 for local organizations, including $13,000 last year for MSU’s Community Music School, which supported 100 families with scholarships and tuition assistance.

MSU Federal Credit Union generously partnered with us in 2023 and 2024 as the title sponsor for the concert series.
